Night Sonny Jim is the solo project of musician, Jim Hyde. Hyde is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter that works from his home studio, Lunar Studios, in Bartlett, TN. He started his musical journey in Macon, GA. performing in clubs throughout the state. After moving to Memphis in the mid-90's, he began a project he named Night Sonny Jim, taken from a song by Jeff Buckley, that would focus on songwriting and recording and not performing. He sites artists like Hawksley Workman, Terrence Trent D'Arby, Peter Gabriel and Iron & Wine as some major influences. NSJ has also produced more than a dozen music videos.
